Two motorists die in Wisconsin head-on crash

Motorists recently received a warning about the dangers associated with failing to maintain control over a motor vehicle. Police reported that two drivers were killed in a motor vehicle accident when their vehicles crashed head-on into each other just outside of Rock Falls. Personnel from the local medical examiner's office were called to the scene after rescuers were unable to revive either of the seriously injured drivers. One of the drivers was 19-years-old and, the other was 62. There were no passengers reported in either car, and no other vehicles were involved in the collision.

Police give up pursuit right before fatal Wisconsin car accident

In the early morning of Dec. 8, Milwaukee police were called to the scene of a car accident on W. Burleigh. It is believed that the accident occurred when a car traveling westbound on W. Burleigh drove across the center line into the eastbound lane. Shortly before the collision, police officers saw the vehicle driving without lights and attempted to pull it over. The driver refused to stop.

Driving can be dangerous during the holiday season

Most Wisconsin readers probably will not be surprised to learn that the period leading up to Christmas isn't the safest time to be on the road. If it seems like car accidents and aggressive driving are everywhere, statistics do seem to support that theory. A study that analyzed 10 years' worth of crash data in Alabama showed that the six-day period prior to Christmas has 18 percent more accidents than Thanksgiving weekend and is 27 percent higher on the accident scale than New Year's Eve.

'Fast & Furious' franchise actor Paul Walker, 40, killed in crash

Wisconsin fans of film actor Paul Walker joined others around the world in mourning the star of the popular 'Fast & Furious' franchise. The accident investigation stated that speed was a factor in the Nov. 30 crash that claimed the 40-year-old as well as the vehicle's driver, Roger Rodas, a partner in Walker's racing team. The condition of the bodies in the wreck necessitated the use of dental records in order to officially identify the two men.
