Woman dies in Wisconsin snowmobiling accident

Snowmobiling is supposed to be a day of fun - when friends can enjoy the snow and cold weather. It's not an activity that you would normally expect to end in death. Sadly, that is exactly what happened for one 20-year-old woman in Wisconsin.

Wisconsin librarian killed by a Wisconsin Union delivery truck

You never really know how much of an impact someone has at work until that person is gone. For people who attend or work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a recent accident certainly drove this point home. A senior academic librarian was recently killed while she was walking on Lake Street.

Wisconsin trucker faces charges for fatal accident

Semi-trucks that are in the hands of drivers who aren't paying attention to what is going on around them can be deadly weapons. The sheer size and weight of these trucks are huge factors when it comes to how other vehicles on the road fare when an accident with a semi occurs. One truck driver from Wisconsin is now facing charges in another state for a fatal accident that occurred while he was driving a semi-truck in January of 2013.

Ford announces a recall of Lincoln MKZ Hybrid sedans

Wisconsin residents who own a Lincoln MKZ Hybrid sedan may soon be receiving a recall notice in the mail. Ford has announced that approximately 7,000 MKZs built between April 2012 and Sept. 2013 and sold as 2013 or 2014 models should be returned to dealers to have a transmission defect corrected. The recall was initiated after it was discovered that some of the sedans could be shifted into gear without the brake pedal being pressed. This could result in the car lurching forward unexpectedly, which could possibly lead to a motor vehicle accident.

3-vehicle crash in Wisconsin injures 4 people

On Dec. 28, a three-car accident occurred after a pedestrian at a crossing initiated the flashing yellow signal warning motorists to slow down. Four people were injured as a result of the incident. Since May 2012, at least three other collisions have been reported at this same pedestrian crossing. At 2:02 p.m., the pedestrian activated the yellow signal and crossed without incident. A Land Rover heading east on Ogden Avenue stopped for the signal, but two vehicles behind the Land Rover did not stop. The second vehicle rear-ended the SUV. Then, the third vehicle rear-ended the second vehicle, and the force of the impact sent the second vehicle into the Land Rover again.
