Wisconsin family hit by semitrailer, 3 injured

People who drive large vehicles have to keep an eye out for smaller vehicles. One way to do this is to make sure that all traffic signs and signals are followed appropriately. Not following traffic laws or driving in a negligent manner can lead to a serious accident, especially if a passenger vehicle carrying children is involved. A recent accident highlights the importance of large vehicles following traffic laws.

The truck accident happened when a 46-year-old Wisconsin male driving a semitrailer that was hauling cattle failed to stop at a stop sign. It slammed into a Chevrolet Impala at the intersection of County Highway B and County Highway N on the morning of May 23.

The two children and woman in the Impala were taken to St. Paul's Regions Hospital. The driver of the cattle hauler wasn't injured in the crash. The cattle that was being hauled were moved to another trailer after officials completed the initial investigation.

This mother and her two young children, a 2-year-old boy and 14-month-old girl, now have to deal with the aftermath of this truck accident. As the mother recovers from her injuries, she will also have the stress of making sure that her children are healing too.

The financial impact of this accident might be causing the woman distress. She has the right to seek compensation for damages caused by this horrible accident. Medical bills, possible lost wages, doctor's charges, prescription costs, and other claims might be possible. Understanding how to seek compensation after an accident is vital to anyone who is considering pursuing the at-fault driver through the court system.
