How to avoid frostbite while working outdoors this winter

Try to avoid drinking beverages with caffeine when working in the extreme cold. Instead, stick to sugar water and warm, sweet beverages. When exposed to the extreme cold, you are at risk for dehydration, so be sure to drink plenty of fluids.

Always wear eye protection, especially when working in snow, sleet or ice storms. There is a risk of suffering eye damage. Plus, when you wear eye protection, you are keeping the skin around your eyes from being exposed to the cold.
