Names released in case of fatal crash

Wisconsin residents may be interested to hear that the names of those involved in a Waupaca Co. crash have been released. The fatal car crash occurred on June 21st at 5:03 P.M. One individual in the accident suffered from serious injuries and died as a result of the accident. Currently, the Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating the accident.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, a 28-year-old female from Westbend was on US 10 westbound at CTH A near Waupaca when she was rear ended by another vehicle. The second vehicle involved in the accident was reportedly driven by a 54-year-old male from Ripon. Also involved in the accident was an 8-year-old female who was a passenger in the rear ended vehicle.

The driver of the rear ended vehicle was not wearing her seat belt when she reportedly lost control of her vehicle, causing it to roll after being rear ended. The 28-year-old was then thrown from the vehicle and was transported to Theda Clark, where she later died from fatal injuries. The 8-year-old passenger in the vehicle was transported to the hospital but then later released. The 54-year-old driver who rear ended the first vehicle was also released from the hospital after being treated for injuries.
