Self-driving cars available in 10 years?

Wisconsin drivers may be able to buy self-driving cars by 2020. Car manufacturers and technology companies, such as Google, estimate that automated vehicles will be available for purchase within the next decade. A number of states have begun testing these types of cars and creating legislation for them. Since 90 percent of car accidents are caused by human error, letting a computer drive could dramatically reduce the frequency of auto accidents, providing enormous savings and even reduced road congestion.

Wisconsin man charged with homicide in fatal car-motorcycle crash

A 33-year-old man has been charged with homicide by use of a vehicle with a detectable amount of controlled substance in his system stemming from a car-motorcycle accident in which a female motorcyclist died. The complaint against the 33-year-old alleges that results of a blood test taken at a hospital following the accident were positive for THC. THC is the chemical compound found in marijuana.

Wisconsin woman faces charges stemming from fatal accident

A young Wisconsin woman who drank and then drove her car now faces homicide charges stemming from a car accident that killed one person and seriously injured another. The 23-year-old Amherst woman faces up to 75 years in prison if she is convicted of charges in the Sept. 15 accident.

Fatal accident on Wisconsin highway

A Sept. 24 accident has left a 24-year-old Wisconsin man dead and two others injured. The incident is believed to have occurred along State Highway 27 outside of Cataract, Wisconsin.
